Iraq interested in military-technical cooperation with Russia — MP

MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Iraq is interested in the development of military and technical cooperation with Russia, Alexey Pushkov, the head of the Russian State Duma international affairs committee, said after a meeting with a delegation of Iraqi lawmakers.

"The Iraqi side expressed its major interest in military and technical cooperation with Russia, noting that Iraqi servicemen are well-acquainted with Russian weapons and cooperation with the Russian side is vital for the country’s security," Pushkov told TASS.

The Iraqi delegation is led by Hakim al-Zamili, who heads the defense and security committee of the country’s parliament.
