MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Russia consistently supports the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli issue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday at the meeting with co-chair of Joint Russian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Minister of Immigrant Absorption and Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Zeev Elkin.
"The situation in the Middle Eastern settlement, the deterioration of the situation in Jerusalem, in the holy places is very worrisome. We consistently support the settlement of Palestinian-Israeli issue which would ensure the establishment of the Palestinian State and Israel’s security, as well as the status of the holy sights whose history is connected with all main religions represented in Jerusalem," Lavrov said.
