Over the 10 years of Alliance of Civilizations’ existence, Russia has made possible contributions to the work of the Alliance and to achievement of high aims that were put in front of it by UN General Assembly," he stressed.
Lavrov also noted that he had worked with Al-Nasser in the United Nations for a long time. "I am glad that your great experience is in demand by the international community," he added.
"You visited Moscow as a representative of the UN General Assembly. Now you have come as the head of a very important international structure that is tasked with preventing inter-cultural, inter-civilizational and religious split," the foreign minister stressed.
