Government commission led by Medvedev to discuss measures to prevent HIV spread

They will also sum up the preliminary results of the implementation of the action plan within the framework of the year of prevention of cardiovascular diseases in Russia held in 2015

MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold on Friday a meeting of the governmental commission on protecting public health. According to the press service of the Cabinet, the participants in the meeting will discuss measures aimed at preventing the spread of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in Russia and prevention, diagnostics and treatment of HIV-associated diseases.

They will also sum up the preliminary results of the implementation of the action plan within the framework of the year of prevention of cardiovascular diseases in Russia held in 2015.

Taking part in the meeting will be Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets, Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Mikhail Men, Minister of Sports Vitaly Mutko, Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maxim Topilin, representatives of federal executive bodies, regional leaders, representatives of the medical community, public and religious organizations.
