Russian aircraft make 39 flights, deliver 60 air strikes on 51 targets in Syria

The aviation grouping destroyed four command centres, six ammunition depots, one mortar battery, two underground bunkers, 32 field camps of the terrorists

MOSCOW, October 18. /TASS/. Aircraft of the Russian aviation grouping in Syria over the past 24 hours continued air strikes on infrastructure facilities of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, spokesman of the Russian Defence Ministry Major General Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.

"From the Hmeimim airfield Russian bombers made 39 flights and delivered 60 strikes on 51 targets in the provinces of Hama, Latakia, Damascus and Aleppo," he said.

"The aviation grouping destroyed four command centres, six ammunition depots, one mortar battery, two underground bunkers, 32 field camps of the terrorists," he said.

"All aircraft of the Russian aviation grouping in the Syrian Arab Republic upon completion of tasks have returned to the air base," the spokesman said.
