MOSCOW, October 14. /TASS/. There should be no doubt that Russia is fighting in Syria against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Wednesday.
"As for the US Secretary of State’s [John Kerry] call on Russia to decide on whether Russia is fighting against IS, I can definitely say that it is fighting," she said. "It’s strange that there are doubts about that, there should be no doubts."
"We are doing it in a transparent way, at the request of Damascus," she said. "We have repeatedly proposed cooperation [to the US] through the Information Center in Baghdad."
