SOCHI, October 8. /TASS/. President Vladimir Putin’s actions on the international scene get overall support of Russian nationals, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
"Judging by opinion polls, we can say that the president’s actions on the international scene enjoy almost absolute support of the country’s population," Peskov said.
"The president and other Russian representatives rather distinctly and explicitly motivate these actions and explain goals set for the fulfillment of these or those decisions," he said.
However, Peskov gave no theoretical answer to the question whether this support will remain if the situation in Syria deteriorates.
"Hypothetical speculations are absolutely irrelevant," he added.
