SOCHI, October 7. /TASS/. The operation of the Russian Aerospace Forces to support the Syrian army in its fight against terrorism has reached a qualitatively new level, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters commenting on Wednesday’s report of Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu to the Russian president.
"In fact, the operation of the Russian Armed Forces to support the Syrian army continued today on a qualitatively new level from a technological point of view," the Kremlin spokesman said, recalling the launch of the Caspian Flotilla cruise missiles on terrorists’ positions in Syria.
Peskov also drew attention to "the messages that began to arrive from Syria on the offensive launched by the Syrian troops with our fire support."
The Kremlin spokesman noted that the president spoke highly of the actions of the Russian military - their efficiency, accuracy, promptness and other combat qualities.
