NEW YORK, October 1. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is holding talks with counterparts from the Arab states of the Persian Gulf in New York on Thursday.
"I hope we will discuss where we are in our bilateral relations, and regional issues," Lavrov said. "We want to understand your concerns."
Russia launched airstrikes against the positions of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in Syria on Wednesday, following the approval of the president’s request by the upper house of parliament.
The majority of Arab states of the Persian Gulf call for ousting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
