ST PETERSBURG, September 23. /TASS/. Russia and the United States have a positive agenda needed for joint work, Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council upper house Valentina Matviyenko said on Wednesday.
"Russia is motivated to maintain constructive interaction and mutually beneficial cooperation with the United States since we are both global powers and we both wield significant influence on the world’s politics," Matviyenko said. "Also, we have that positive agenda on which we should work together."
Matviyenko was speaking at a meeting with the representatives of the Soviet-American Women’s summit of 1990.
