According to Maria Zakharova, the heads of BRICS parliamentary committees will arrive in Moscow to take part in such a meeting for the first time

MOSCOW, April 10. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with heads of parliamentary committees on foreign affairs from BRICS member states on April 11, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with chairpersons and members of parliamentary committees on international affairs from BRICS countries on April 11," she announced at a briefing.

"The plan is to discuss a wide range of issues related to the group’s activities, as well as the prospects for boosting cooperation on international parliamentary platforms," Zakharova specified.

According to her, the heads of BRICS parliamentary committees will arrive in Moscow to take part in such a meeting for the first time. They will also meet with the chairs of both chambers of the Russian Federal Assembly (parliament), the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman added.
