Dmitry Peskov added that "in any case, [Putin and Modi] will meet in the first half of this year"

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit will be coordinated through diplomatic channels, as the prime minister has a standing offer to visit the Russian Federation, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"This (Modi's visit to Russia - TASS) is yet to be coordinated through diplomatic channels," the Kremlin spokesman said when asked whether Russian President Vladimir Putin had indeed invited Modi to pay a visit to Russia during their phone call on Wednesday.

"Of course, the Indian prime minister also has an open invitation to visit our country," Peskov added.

He specified that "in any case, [Putin and Modi] will meet in the first half of this year." According to the spokesman, the Russian president and the Indian prime minister will meet both in a multilateral format on the platforms of international events and in a bilateral format.
