Serbia thanks Russia for helping ensure state sovereignty — foreign minister

Ivica Dacic also thanked Lavrov for the recent UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. Serbia is grateful to Russia for its support in ensuring the republic's state sovereignty, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said during talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"We are very grateful to Russia for helping ensure territorial sovereignty; the support you provide us on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija is very important to us," he said.

Dacic also thanked Lavrov for the recent UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija. In addition, the Serbian Foreign Minister congratulated his Russian counterpart on his birthday.
