Russian-Kyrgyz relations developing in all directions, Putin says

According to the Russian president, Russia still remains a major trade and economic partner for Kyrgyzstan

KAZAN, February 21. /TASS/. Russia-Kyrgyzstan relations are successfully developing in all directions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Japarov.

"Regarding our bilateral relations, they are based on our fundamental agreement and successfully develop in all directions," the Russian leader said.

According to Putin, Russia still remains a major trade and economic partner for Kyrgyzstan. About 30% of the money coming into the country’s economy comes from Russia. "We will continue working on these issues," the president said.

"We develop our relations in the humanitarian sphere step by step. We are grateful for the attention that you give to the development of the Russian language in your country, including in the school that we have established recently," Putin told Japarov.

"Russia welcomes you," the Russian leader noted. He also thanked the Kyrgyz president for his decision to attend the Games of the Future.
