Washington exacerbates situation in Ukraine by refusing to hear Russia’s demands — envoy

NEW YORK, February 21. /TASS/. Washington and its satellites are aggravating the situation in Ukraine by refusing to hear out and understand Moscow’s key demands, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said in an exclusive article for Newsweek.

"Instead of hearing and understanding Russia's key demands - the denazification and demilitarization of Ukrainian thugs as well as rejection of Russophobia and NATO plans of Kiev - Washington and its satellites are only making things worse," the diplomat stressed.

Antonov noted that the US is turning a blind eye to the fact that Western weapons supplied to Ukraine are being used in combat zones across the globe.

On January 30, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Kiev is "doing [land-office] business" on death as many of the weapons that the West provided to Ukraine have already turned up in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands, as well as in the Gaza Strip.
