BEIJING, November 22. /TASS/. Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin conveyed Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s warm greetings to Xi Jinping during a meeting with the Chinese President.

"Above all, I would like to pass along warm wishes from our president to you, the well wishes from Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. In many ways, thanks to your relations with our president today our countries are not only strategic partners but also strategic friends," Volodin said.

According to him, the ties between "Russia and China are at the peak of their development."

"And largely this is, of course, thanks to the fact that the relations between Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and you, the esteemed chairman, are so full of trust, ensuring development in all spheres of cooperation," the State Duma speaker added.
