Chisinau failed to notify Russia that Moldova is bowing out of CIS events — diplomat

Earlier, the media reported that Moldova had suspended participation in CIS events

MOSCOW, May 19. /TASS/. Moldova has not notified Russia through official channels of halting its participation in Commonwealth of Independent States events, a senior Russian diplomat said on Thursday.

"I have read the [media] reports, but no such information has come from official channels," Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said in comments on the Kommersant daily report.

Moldova has suspended participation in CIS events, and Chisinau will not take part in an online meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, set for May 20, the paper reported.
