Russia expects West to use its influence to protect Ukraine’s national minorities

MOSCOW, May 21./TASS/. Moscow hopes that Western countries will use their influence on Kiev to protect the rights of the national minorities in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a commentary on Tuesday.

"We expect that the Western partners and international human rights institutions will give a clear and principled assessment of Kiev’s actions and will use their influence to protect the rights of the national minorities in Ukraine," the ministry stressed.
