Russian, Chinese diplomats discuss Libya, Sudan, bilateral cooperation

Moscow and Beijing reaffirmed commitment to cooperate closely in foreign policy

MOSCOW, April 19. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov has met with Chinese Ambassador to Russia Li Hui on Friday to discuss the situation in Libya and Sudan. They also reaffirmed their commitment to develop bilateral cooperation, the Russian Foreign Ministry informed.

"[The diplomats] have discussed the aspects on the Middle Eastern agenda with special attention paid to the military-political situation in Libya, as well as the situation in Sudan," the ministry informed.

"Moscow and Beijing have confirmed their mutual commitment to maintaining close foreign policy cooperation on a wide spectrum of issues of mutual interest," the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
