Kremlin, White House advisers discuss bilateral ties, but summit issue not raised

Senior Director for European and Russian Affairs on the US National Security Council staff Fiona Hill arrived in Moscow for consultations on April 18

MOSCOW, April 18. /TASS/. Kremlin Aide Yuri Ushakov has held a meeting with Special Assistant to the US President, Senior Director for European and Russian Affairs on the US National Security Council staff Fiona Hill who arrived in Moscow for consultations on April 18.

"There were meeting in the [presidential] administration, with Ushakov," Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters when asked whether or not Hill met with any of the Kremlin representatives. According to Peskov, the two leaders’ advisers discussed "bilateral relations issues."

When asked whether the issue of a potential meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump was raised, the Kremlin spokesman answered in the negative.
