Kremlin mum on media reports about preparations for North Korean leader’s visit to Russia

MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The Kremlin does not comment on the reports that a senior North Korean official arrived to Moscow to prepare North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s visit to Russia.

"I’ll leave it without any comments," Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists, responding to the request to confirm or deny this information.

Yonhap News Agency earlier reported about the visit of a senior North Korean official to Moscow. South Korea’s newspaper Dong-a Ilbo also wrote that Kim Jong-un plans to visit Russia to gain its support following the failed summit with US President Donald Trump in Hanoi. According to the newspaper, the developing contacts between North Korea and Russia show it. North Korea’s senior diplomats visited Moscow three times in March this year, the newspaper reported.
