Russian PM expects good results of his visit to Bulgaria

Dmitry Medvedev was invited by his Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borisov to visit Sofia to discuss bilateral issues

SOFIA, March 4. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev expects that his visit to Bulgaria will bring good results, he said during the talks with Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov. Medvedev thanked the receiving country for the invitation, noting the good weather.

The Russian PM congratulated his Bulgarian colleagues with the country’s national holiday, Liberation Day. "As far as I understand, today is a holiday, but this does not keep us from working," Medvedev noted.

He thanked the Bulgarian PM for the invitation to visit Sofia to discuss bilateral issues. "I would like to thank you personally, Mr. Prime Minister, for making a good deal with the skies - the weather is beautiful today, and it is definitely a sign of good relations. I hope that it would help us achieve good results," Medvedev told Borisov.

"We have a lot to achieve, because in the last few years, some figures of economic cooperation have improved, and some, unfortunately, have declined, especially if we look at last year’s outcomes," Medvedev noted. The Russian PM also mentioned various joint projects of Bulgaria and Russia in different areas, namely in the energy sphere, as well as a high flow of Russian tourists to Bulgarian resorts.
