Russian servicemen deliver humanitarian aid to Syria's Hama province

Russian servicemen distributed sugar, flour, tea and canned meat

AYN AL-KRUM, February 16. /TASS/. Another batch of humanitarian aid has been delivered by Russian servicemen to residents of Syria's Hama province. Servicemen from the Russian Center for reconciliation of the conflicting sides in Syria provided assistance to Christians residing in the town of Ayn Al-Krum and in the village of Tumin, responding to the request made by the Antioch Orthodox Church.

"The Russian reconciliation center regularly monitors the situation in Syria and determines which settlements most need humanitarian aid. Today assistance was provided first of all to families of killed servicemen," spokesperson for the Russian reconciliation center Alexey Vyrvich said.

During the war, the town of Ayn Al-Krum avoided being seized by militants as terrorists were stopped before they could enter the settlement. However, each family in the town of 23,000 have their own tragedy to share. Most residents lost their family members or friends in the war.

Russian servicemen distributed sugar, flour, tea and canned meat. A total of 500 food sets was distributed in each settlement.
