Russian Special Presidential Representative for the Syrian Settlement Alexander Lavrentyev and Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin met with Director-General of Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affaris Youval Rotem and other diplomatic officials in Jerusalem on Monday, according to a statement released by the Russian Embassy in Israel.

"Special Envoy of President for Syria Aleksandr Lavrentiev and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Vershinin held talks with the Director-General of IsraelMFA Youval Rotem and other diplomatic officials. Tomorrow the delegation will continue work," the embassy tweeted.

No details of the negotiations were reported.
