Russian PM green-lights implementation plan for strategy of national policy through 2022

The government’s press service said that the plan consists of 58 points, envisions 76 activities

MOSCOW, January 4. /TASS/. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has given the green light for the plan to implement the strategy of Russia’s state national policy in the period of 2019-2021, the government’s press service said in a statement on Friday.

"The signed decree approves the plan to implement the strategy in the period of 2019-2021. The plan consists of 58 points, envisions 76 activities on priority areas of the state national policy," the press service said, adding that the authors of the plan took into consideration "the proposals of federal and regional executive bodies, public and scientific organizations."

The document is expected to contribute to efficient implementation of the state national policy, facilitate the ethno-cultural development of the Russian peoples, support the Russian language as a state language and languages of the country’s peoples, as well as form a system of social and cultural adjustment of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation and their integration into the Russian society. Moreover, the plan will help improve the government control in the area of state national policy and cooperation of public bodies with the civil society’s institutions on the issues of national policy.

The draft plan was considered and approved at the meeting of the presidium of the Council under Russian President on inter-ethnic relations on December 19, 2018.
