MOSCOW, December 2. /TASS/. One Syrian serviceman was killed and another one was wounded in a shelling attack staged by militants in the settlement of Zellaqiyat in the Hama governorate, chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties Sergei Solomatin said on Sunday.

"Ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone continue," he said. "Thus, during the day shelling attacks were reported from the settlement of Zellaqiyat in the Hama governorate, the settlement of Jubb al-Mgara in the Latakia governorate and Aleppo’s Hay al-Ansari neighborhood. As a result of shelling, one Syrian serviceman was killed and one more was wounded in the settlement of Zellaqiyat."

According to Solomatin, officers of the Russian reconciliation center conducted two humanitarian operations in the settlements of Salhiyah in the Deir ez-Zor governorate and Zaafarana in the Homs governorate, with 900 bags with food products being handed out to civilians.

Apart from that, work is continued to amnesty people dodging military service. Thus, as of December 1, as many as 14,221 people were amnestied, he added.

The Russian reconciliation center continues to fulfill assigned tasks after the completion of the military campaign in Syria. The center’s officers regularly travel around the country's liberated areas to assess the humanitarian situation.
