Lavrov to hold negotiations with South Africa’s foreign minister in Moscow on November 21

In particular, the sides will focus focus on the build-up of investment interaction

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will meet with South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Lindiwe Sisulu, who will be on a three-day visit in Moscow from November 20 to 22, on November 21 in Moscow. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said about it at a briefing on Thursday.

"A meeting between the Russian foreign minister and the South African minister of international relations and cooperation is scheduled for November 21. The foreign ministers will discuss the state and prospects of bilateral strategic cooperation with focus on the build-up of investment interaction and cooperation in the science-technical, humanitarian and other spheres," the diplomat noted.

"The sides will share their positions on the current agenda with regard to the results of the BRICS summit that was held in Johannesburg on July 25-27, and the election of South Africa as temporary member of the UN Security Council for 2019-2020," Zakharova added.

Sisulu will also take part as a co-chairman in the 15th session of the Intergovernmental Committee on Trade-Economic Cooperation, she said.
