Russian state facilities and banks under powerful hacker attacks, says diplomat

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. Russian government facilities and banks are under powerful attacks by the hacker community, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said in his speech on Thursday at the international conference "Russia and the European Union in Global Policy: Toward a Stable and Just Public Order?"

"Russia is under the most powerful hacker attacks, this is well-known," the senior diplomat noted. "Our government facilities, banks, you name it are under massive computer pressure of the hacker and other communities."

However, the deputy foreign minister noted that few are alarmed by this fact, "nor by what the US is doing with wiretapping."

"There are endless scandals in the West due to the penetration of the American intelligence services in the sacrosanct. It is known which phones they tapped," Grushko reiterated. "But it does not affect such steps on the foreign political scene which many for some reason consider as natural to make against Russia."

"We can see it all and make corresponding conclusions," he said.
