PARIS, November 11. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin told journalists after a working breakfast at the Elysee Palace on Sunday he has had a chance to speak with US President Donald Trump.

"Yes," he said when asked whether he has managed to speak with the US president during the working breakfast that was attended by the high-ranking guests taking part in the World War I Armistice centennial celebrations.

Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists the Russian president had no opportunity to speak substantially with Trump during the working breakfast.

"Putin and Trump only greeted each other literally on the go during the dinner. There was no possibility to speak," he said, adding that after the working breakfast Putin headed for the international peace forum.

"Trump left the Elysee Palace. They told each other ‘Goodbye,’" Peskov noted.
