Medvedev to visit Kazakhstan, hold talks with president, prime minister

MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will start his official two-day visit to Astana on Thursday, the press service of the Russian cabinet of ministers said. In Astana, Medvedev will participate in the session of the heads of government of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) member states and hold talks with Kazakhstan's leadership.

"On November 1, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold talks with Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, which will focus on key issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, investment, high tech, energy, industry, transpost and other spheres," the press service said. "Dmitry Medvedev will also meet with Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev."

On November 2, Medvedev will participate in the session of CIS Council of Heads of Government. "On the agenda are relevant spheres of cooperation among the Commonwealth member states, such as atomic energy, space, innovation, ecology, communications and taxation, as well as several issues concerning the funding of CIS bodies," the press service said. 0sap.
