Numerous ceasefire violations by militants reported from two Syrian governorates

Officers of the Russian reconciliation center conducted a humanitarian operation in the settlement of Hatla in the Deir ez-Zor governorate

MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Numerous ceasefire violations by militants were reported in Syria’s Latakia and Hama governorates over the past day, chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties Vladimir Savchenko said on Sunday.

"Ceasefire violations by illegal armed groups operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone continue. Thus, during the day shelling attacks were reported from the settlement of Ikko in the Latakia governorate and the settlement of Tell Huayr in the Hama governorate," he said.

According to Savchenko, officers of the Russian reconciliation center conducted a humanitarian operation in the settlement of Hatla in the Deir ez-Zor governorate. A total of 1.95 tonnes of food products were distributed among civilians.

Apart from that, food products and other humanitarian goods were delivered to 15 families of killed Syrian servicemen in the city of Aleppo.

The Russian reconciliation center continues to fulfill assigned tasks after the completion of the military campaign in Syria. The center’s officers regularly travel around the country's liberated areas to assess the humanitarian situation. The main efforts of the Russian military are now focused on assistance to the refugees returning to their homes.
