Putin orders Cabinet to consider extra capitalization of Far East Development Fund

The president also ordered to draw up the National Program of Far East Development by 2025 and further extension by 2035

MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin asked the national government to consider an opportunity for additional capitalization of the Far East Development Fund, the official website of the Kremlin says on Friday.

"Considering the earlier given assignments, to further review the issue of additional capitalization of the joint stock company Far East and Baikal Region Development Fund for 2019 - 2021," according to the list of assignments.

The President also instructed the government to review accommodation of engineering teams and research and development centers in Vladivostok in cooperation with Rosatom, Gazprom, Rosneft, the United Aircraft Corporation and Russian Helicopters.

Putin also ordered to draw up the National Program of Far East Development for the period by 2025 and further extension by 2035. The head of state gives such assignment after the Eastern Economic Forum.

"The Russian Government, in cooperation with government authorities of Russian constituencies being part of the Far Eastern Federal District, stakeholder organizations, public and business associations, to prepare the National Program of Far East Development for the period by 2025 and further extension by 2035 and submit an appropriate draft decree of the Russian President to the Administration of the Russian President," the list of assignments says.

The document should be prepared by September 1, 2019.
