MOSCOW, August 6. /TASS/. Russian Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and African Countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met with a delegation of the International Federation of Kurdish Communities, headed by its Chairman Knyaz Mirzoyev, on Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The meeting focused on the discussion of the current issues on the Middle East agenda with special attention being paid to the Kurdish issue regarding the developments in Iraq and Syria, in particular the task to consolidate global efforts in the fight against ISIS (a former name of the Islamic State, outlawed in Russia - TASS) and other terror groups," the ministry informed.
The delegation members also informed the deputy minister on the results of the conference of the International Federation of Kurdish Communities, highly evaluating the level of "cooperation and solidarity between representatives for Kurdish non-government associations, including in Russia and Central Asia.".
