JOHANNESBURG, July 27. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin praised US President Donald Trump’s commitment to fulfilling promises made during his presidential campaign, Putin said during the press conference on the outcomes of the BRICS summit.

"A real plus for Trump is that he is committed to fulfilling his promises, first and foremost, made to the voters," Putin stressed. According to him, this is a unique quality of the current US president "because, as a rule, some leaders quickly forget what they had promised to the people once the elections are over."

"But Trump doesn’t," the Russian leader added. "You can criticize him for what he is doing, and some people do criticize him, however, one thing remains absolutely clear - he is committed to fulfilling his campaign promises."
