Russia ready to boost dialogue with NATO on military incident prevention — diplomat

MOSCOW, July 26. /TASS/. Russia and NATO member states have the sufficient basis for preventing dangerous military incidents and Moscow is ready for developing dialogue in this sphere, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told TASS on Thursday.

"We have the sufficient basis, which allows us to avoid dangerous military incidents," the senior diplomat stressed.

"At the same time, we are ready to move forward on the basis of bilateral agreements. There are more than ten such accords with NATO countries, i.e. actually with all those, which have the corresponding air and ground means," he said.

Several years ago, Moscow proposed a number of options "on how to move towards strengthening the corresponding regimes via bilateral channels," the deputy foreign minister said.

"We were ready to hold corresponding consultations with NATO member states," the high-ranking Russian diplomat said.
