MOSCOW, July 16. /TASS/. Monday’s meeting between Russian and US Presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, has outlined concrete issues and topics for dialogue between the two countries, a senior Russian lawmaker told journalists.

"The first full-format meeting could hardly be expected to yield immediate solutions to major problems. More important was the atmosphere and the vector of the conversation: are there any perspectives. The atmosphere was good and the vector tended to dialogue, in concrete formats the Russian president told about," Ivan Melnikov, the first deputy speaker of the Russian State Duma lower parliament house, said commenting on the Putin-Trump summit in Helsinki.

Although particular, such issues as working groups and councils on terrorism, on cooperation between businessmen, on problems of public organizations, associations of experts in bilateral relations, mutual interest to find compromise solutions on non-proliferation problems, "area in the aggregate a result with considerable diplomatic weight," he stressed.
