Russian delegation may suspend participation in OSCE PA sessions

MOSCOW, July 11. /TASS/. Russian lawmakers may suspend their participation in the meetings of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) in case other countries’ representatives continue to violate the assembly’s regulations, Russian delegation member Artyom Turov told reporters on Wednesday.

"If our colleagues continue to treat us this way and violate regulations and rules, then we will consider the possibility of suspending our delegation’s participation in OSCE PA meetings," he said.

"If they don’t hear us, if an artificial confrontation is being created [though the OSCE was established in order to overcome confrontation and search for solutions to difficult issues], if our activities are hindered, then what is the use of participating, when it all turns into a political farce?" Turov noted.
