MOSCOW, May 9. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin briefly talked with Iraqi Kurdistan Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani who is staying in Moscow, acting Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed to TASS on Wednesday.

"This was a brief talk," the Russian presidential spokesman said.

The Rudaw media group reported earlier on Wednesday about the meeting, citing Kurdistan Regional Government spokesman Safeen Dizayee. The spokesman characterized the meeting as progressive.
