MOSCOW, May 8. /TASS/. Russia will refrain from renouncing the imports of medicines in full but will increase production of its own pharmaceuticals simultaneously, Acting Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said as he answered questions in the State Duma while the deputies were considering his candidacy for the post of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
He voiced the conviction the goal of producing 90% of vital medicines inside Russia would be reached.
"Along with it, this doesn’t mean in any way we should give up the imports of pharmaceuticals in full," Medvedev said, adding that in a number of cases Russia was importing innovative drugs.
