When asked about Washington’s decision to hold off on any new sanctions against Russia, the Kremlin spokesman disagreed with the opinion that the storm had bypassed Russia. "I would not talk about a storm. Unfriendly and even aggressive actions against Russia are continuing," Peskov stressed. He explained, "Differing statements can be heard from various capitals, particularly from Washington, along with a wide range of remarks, which probably do not make it possible to see eye to eye on what is actually meant."
"Therefore, I would not talk about various storms. I would rather say that numerous unfriendly gestures have taken place. They cannot be ruled out, taking into account a certain unpredictability factor. For us, this is the reality we work under, proceeding primarily from our own interests," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
