DAVOS, January 24 (Itar-Tass) — Georgia’s Economics Minister Georgy Kvirikashvili has spoken in favor of resuming close economic relations with Russian companies.

“Resuming contacts with Russian companies is a good possibility to promote the development of Georgia’s economy, to create new jobs,” he told Georgian journalists.

According to Kvirikashvili, the Georgian delegation plans to hold a number of meetings with executives from Russian businesses on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos. “Despite the current political problems in the relations between our countries, we must resume economic cooperation anyway,” he stressed.
