TBILISI, January 24 (Itar-Tass) — The Georgian and Russian prime ministers, Bidzina Ivanishvili and Dmitry Medvedev, had a short meeting in Davos on Thursday.
"This meeting was unplanned,” Maya Pandzhikidze, the Georgian foreign minister, told Georgian journalists. Pandzhikidze is staying in Davos which is hosting the World Economic Forum.
“The Georgian and Russian prime ministers met each other at a reception given for the first persons of various countries. Ivanishvili and Medvedev greeted each other, got acquainted with each other and talked for a minute or two,” Pandzhikidze went on to say.
Ivanishvili said in Davos the other day that he was not planning to meet the Russian prime minister at the World Economic Forum. However, he did not rule out that such a meeting could be accidental.
