Putin urges BRICS to step up interaction with UN

A final document of the summit will be submitted to the U.N. Secretary-General and to the chairman of the U.N. General Assembly

DURBAN, South Africa, March 27 (Itar-Tass) – Russian President Vladimir Putin urged the BRICS countries to step up interaction with the United Nations Organisation.

“It would be useful to make the contacts between BRICS and leading international and regional organisations regular and improve systematic interaction, primarily within the U.N. and its specialised institutions,” Putin said at the BRICS summit on Wednesday.

A final document of the summit will be submitted to the U.N. Secretary-General and to the chairman of the U.N. General Assembly, Putin said.
