MOSCOW, August 12. /TASS/. A fuel oil slick on the Moskva River in Moscow’s southeast has caught fire, a spokesman for the Emergencies Ministry said on Wednesday.

The spokesman said the burning slick’s area is between 10 and 15 square metres.

A police source told TASS earlier that "grass has caught fire which spread to fuel oil on the river."

The Moscow oil refinery located close to the site of the incident said it had occurred at an oil product pipeline belonging to the Transneft company.

"Yes, we confirms, that’s our incident," a Transneft spokesman told TASS giving no more details.
