BEIJING, August 4. /TASS/. Artists from St. Petersburg-based Mariinsky Theater will take part in the 8th China International Youth Arts Festival, the Chinese culture ministry said on Tuesday.
Events will be held from August 18 to 28, assembling Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou among its city locations. The festival’s program marks the 70th anniversary of World War II victory, and includes some 550 performances, operas and concerts.
It will gather artists from 28 countries, with Russia being the guest of honor. "Participation... is highly important for Russia," Russian diplomat Yevgeny Tomikhin said.
