Divers from the Russian Geographic Society plunged 111 meters deep into the Arctic Barents Sea

KAZAN, July 17./TASS/. Divers from the Russian Geographic Society have set a world immersion record by plunging 111 meters deep into the Arctic Barents Sea.

"Seven people participated in an immersion lasting 101 minutes," said society spokeswoman Irina Saltykova.

Their northern expedition was the first round of a project entitled "Thirteen Russian seas" that was launched on July 1.
