MOSCOW, May 5. /TASS/. American tenor opera singer Neil Shicoff will become head of the opera company of the St.Petersburg-based Mikhailovsky Theater in September 2015, the theater's press service said on Tuesday.
The press service quoted Shicoff as saying that he had close relations with the theater's company and was proud of being a part of it.
He expressed hope that he would be able to help the theater expand its repertoire and help the soloists build an international career.
Shicoff, born in 1949 in New York, has performed at the Mikhailovsky Theatre since 2010.
