122-year old Vietnamese named world's oldest woman

According to her ID card, Nguyen Thi Tru was born on May 4, 1983 and has always been in a good health

HANOI, April 23. /TASS/. A 122-year old woman from southern Vietnam has been awarded the title of the world's oldest woman by the the World Records Association, the head of Vietnam Records Organisation said on Thursday.

Nguyen Thi Tru replaces Japan’s Misao Okawa, who died on April 1, aged 117.

Tru was named the country's oldest woman by the Vietnam Records Book in 2011.

According to Tru's ID card, she was born on May 4, 1983 and has always been in a good health. She lives with her youngest 75-year old son in the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city.
