MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Russia will earmark 2 trillion rubles ($39.5 billion) for the 2016-2025 Federal Space Program, the press service of Russia’s space agency Roscosmos said on Wednesday.
In autumn last year, a source in the rocket and space sector told TASS that Roscosmos requested 2.1 trillion rubles from the federal budget and another 250 billion rubles was expected to be spent from the funds of enterprises and revenues from commercial projects.
In late March, the chairman of the scientific and technical council of Roscosmos, Yuri Koptsev, said the Federal Space Program would be cut by 10% due to the economic crisis.
