MOSCOW, April 10. /TASS/. The technical condition of the International Space Station (ISS) allows to extend its use beyond 2024, Vladimir Solovyov, the flight director of the ISS Russian segment, said on Friday.
"The ISS technical systems are in a quite decent condition," said Solovyov, a former cosmonaut.
In late March the Russian Space Agency and NASA agreed to prolong the ISS operation till 2024.
"I am absolutely convinced that this is not the deadline," Solovyov said.
Originally, the ISS life cycle was to expire in 2020.
